Recognition of community leaders, particularly women
UNAIDS has recognized 50 women community leaders and volunteers who lent support to national HIV response. 22 implementing NGOs have nominated 50 volunteer according to the selection guideline.
22nd November the Award Giving ceremony was held at IDB Bhabon. Ms. Sultana Kamal, the former advisor of the caretaker Gov was present as a chief guest along with Dr. Arther Erken, Country Rep. UNFPA and Dr. Salil Panakadan, UCC UNAIDS in the award giving ceremony. Out 50 award winner 47 were present from different part of the country in the ceremony which makes it really a successful event for UN. Winner came with their parents, partners and relatives in the occasion to make it memorable for them.
Speakers including chief guests highly encouraged the work that these community leaders and volunteers had done in to their project and community works. |
